About

Emmy nominated visual effects artist and independent filmmaker Ryan Schroer grew up in the Pacific Northwest making short films and visual effects with his parents home video camera. After graduating from Film School at Eastern Washington University he left for Los Angeles where he spent over 10 years working both on set as a visual effects supervisor, and behind the computer as a visual effects artist for hundreds of music videos. From 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake, to Gwen Stefani and the Black Eyed Peas, Ryan has worked on music videos for almost every major artist in the business.

After working on several big budget commercials for Mazda, Asics shoes, and HTC smartphones, Ryan worked for four years in television making visual effects at Universal Studios for Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, and Blood and Chrome. In 2010 Ryan was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for his work on the television show Virtuality.

With the advent of better filmmaking technology and the growing decentralization of Hollywood, the need to reside in the concrete sprawls of Los Angeles has become less of a necessity. With an equal love for both filmmaking and the creation of seamless visual effects, Ryan is now focused on doing both in the familiar and awe inspiring Pacific Northwest.
